Time Crisis 4
Time Crisis 4 was developed by Nex Entertainment and released by Namco Bandai exclusively for the PlayStation 3 in 2007. It was a port of the arcade version released a year earlier. The game puts players in control of an elite military commando out to foil a terrorist plot to unleash biological weapons. Like the arcade version, the game is primarily a rail shooter where players use the GunCon 3 peripheral to shoot at enemies on the screen. The PlayStation 3 version also includes brand new first-person shooting levels, where players can use GunCon's analog stick to move around the level freely while shooting at enemies. IGN's Jeff Haynes gave the game a positive review, stating, "Time Crisis 4 is a fun game for any shooting fan looking to blast away with their PS3."
Time Crisis: Razing Storm
Time Crisis: Razing Storm is an upcoming game compilation from Namco Bandai set to be released exclusively for the PlayStation 3 in October 2010. The game disc contains three full games: Razing Storm, Time Crisis 4 and Deadstorm Pirates. All are ports of arcade games. Razing Storm puts players in control of a special forces soldier out to battle terrorists in a South American jungle. Deadstorm Pirates puts players in control of a pirate battling undead monsters and enemy pirate ships on the high seas. Time Crisis 4 is similar to the previous PS3 version, though it does not include the first-person shooting levels. All three games support the GunCon functionality. Additionally, the also support the PlayStation Move controller.
PlayStation Move
The PlayStation Move control system was released in September 2010 for the PlayStation 3. It uses a motion-sensing controller and the PlayStation Eye camera to track a player's movement through space. For shooting games, players can aim the controller at the screen and press a button to fire their weapon. This eliminates the need for a special light gun controller and enables players to use precision aiming with a wide variety of upcoming action games, such as Killzone 3, Dead Space: Extraction and the Time Crisis: Razing Storm bundle.
