The Logitech Driving Force GT is a steering wheel controller for the Playstation 3 gaming system designed to enhance driving simulation video games. The wheel features force feedback technology that causes the steering wheel to respond realistically to elements within the game. In order to use your Logitech Driving Force GT controller you must properly mount it and connect it to your Playstation 3.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the base unit (steering wheel) on the edge of a sturdy table. Although you can use any table that has a lip that you can clamp the unit to, having the steering wheel at approximately stomach LEVEL while you are sitting gives the most realistic driving experience. Finding a table this height is optimal.

    • 2

Unscrew the top of the clamps to loosen them. Fit the clamps around the edge of the table and tighten them to secure the base unit. This is necessary as the force-feedback action of the wheel often causes you to "fight" the steering wheel.

    • 3

Place the pedal unit below the table. Run the cable around the back of the table and plug it into the port on the gear shifter.

    • 4

Plug the power adapter into the port on the back of the gear shifter, next to the pedal cable port. Plug the power adapter into an empty power outlet in your home. The cord is approximately five feet long; if you need a longer cord, connect the power adapter to an extension cord.

    • 5

Plug the USB cable from the back of the base unit into the USB port on the front of your Playstation 3.

    • 6

Sit down and adjust the pedal and table that the steering wheel attaches to, until it is comfortable. The goal is to achieve a realistic driving experience, so you want the pedals and the steering wheel at levels that most closely represent the way you drive.
