How to Remove the Faceplate on the Guitar Hero World Tour Controller

The "Guitar Hero" games challenge the player to match the rhythm of a song using a mock instrument, such as a guitar. "Guitar Hero World Tour" is the fourth game in the series and was released in 2008 with a range of peripherals. The guitar that you can buy bundled with the game has a removable faceplate that you can swap for others should you purchase them. This process is similar for all Guitar Hero guitars with removable faceplates.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn the guitar over and push the lever at the base of the neck down to the unlock position. Remove the neck by pulling it out of the socket.

    • 2

Look on the back of the guitar for the switch that is closest to the battery bay. On the World Tour controller this is at the bottom.

    • 3

Slide this switch to the unlock position and then gently pry the faceplate away from the guitar controller.
