How to Connect an RCA to a VGA Monitor

Most television sets interface with external devices such as DVD players, video game players and external stereo equipment with RCA connections. You can recognize an RCA connection by three colored cables--red, white and yellow. Computer systems interface with display monitors with VGA connections. You can connect the RCA output from your television or other RCA device to the VGA input on a computer monitor using a special adapter, as long as your television supports RCA video output.
