How to Use a PS3 Headset With a PC

The PS3 is a gaming console that features many networking and connectivity options. Among these is wireless Bluetooth connectivity through the console&'s Bluetooth headset. You can use this to connect with other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as mobile phones and computers. To use it as a headphone and microphone for your PC, you need to pair the two devices.

Instructions

      Turn on your PS3 headset. Push and hold the power button until the green and red power and mic mute lights flash alternately. This indicates that your PS3 headset is in discovery mode.

      Click the "Bluetooth Devices" icon within the Control Panel&'s "Hardware and Sound" menu.

      Click "Add" to initiate the Bluetooth connection wizard. This wizard searches for and presents a list of available devices.

      Select the headset from the list of available devices and complete the onscreen wizard. Doing so pairs the devices and allows you to use the PS3 headset as headphones and microphone on your PC.
