How to Play Guitar Hero Drums

Sit comfortably in front of the drum set. Raise the set as needed and adjust your chair so you are at a comfortable height. Position the kick pedal underneath your foot.

Start up the game and select the "Tutorials" option from the "Training" section in the "Quickplay" menu. This will teach you the basics to the drum set and will get you used to using it.

Use the drum sticks to strike the red pad to the corresponding red notes, the blue pad to the corresponding blue notes, the green pad to the corresponding green notes, the yellow cymbal to the corresponding yellow notes, and the orange cymbal to the corresponding orange notes. Kick the kick pedal when you see a purple line. The notes will stream downscreen and pass through a strike zone, at which point you will strike the drums.

Start out on the "Easy" difficulty level. Once you get the hang of it and are hitting over 80% of the notes, step up the difficulty to the next level. Proceed until you reach the "Expert" level. If you get hung up on a certain part of a song, use the "Training" menu to play the song in slow motion.
