How to Connect the Nintendo Wii to Ralink WiFi & Enable ICS

The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector was developed by Nintendo Entertainment and Buffalo Technology in a joint venture. The device utilizes the Ralink RT2570 chipset and functions as a software access point. The connector enables both your Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii to connect to your personal wireless network. Enabling Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) is simply a matter of granting permission for your desired device. You will need a broadband Internet connection for the device to function properly.

Give Permission

  Double-click on the "Registration" icon located on the task bar at the bottom-right portion of your desktop screen.

  Turn on the Nintendo Wii or Nintendo DS that you want to connect to the Internet.

  Start a game that is Wi-Fi compatible.

  Attempt to connect to the Internet with your desired console to bring up the "Permissions" window on your computer.

  Access your computer and select "Grant Permission" in the "Permissions" window to enable ICS.
