Things You'll Need
Instructions
Connect your Pro Action Replay device to your computer using a USB cable.
Install the software found on the installation CD that accompanies the Pro Action Replay device. If you have already installed the necessary software, you may skip this step.
Open the "Code Manager" program.
Select the "Software Update" button located on the top right portion of the screen to update your device with the most recent firmware revision.
Click on "New Codelist" at the bottom of the code manager window to add a new code list. Select "My Subscriptions" and then locate the games you wish to add new code lists for. Drag any desired game titles from the subscriptions list to your new code lists to save those codes to your device.
Modify any existing codes by replacing letters with different values. All Pro Action Replay codes are written using hexadecimal, so you can change the relative intensity of a code by using a "larger" hexadecimal unit. The lowest unit in hexadecimal is "0," while the highest unit in hexadecimal is "F"; experiment with your codes by bumping up later values to see what kind of changes occur. Be aware that manually editing these codes can be time-consuming, and will occasionally cause your game to freeze. Despite this, some of the most interesting codes in use today were discovered by regular users performing the same sorts of modifications to already existing codes.
