How to Hook Up the Dance Mat on Wii

The Wii Dance Pad is used by Wii gamers for any games that involve foot movement, including the popular "Dance Dance Revolution" games. The Dance Mat was designed to work on the Wii through a wired connection, which requires the Gamecube controller ports on the console. It makes connecting the mat to the console much simpler than connecting it with a wireless controller.

Instructions

  Open the larger plastic flap on the right side of the Wii. If your Wii is positioned vertically, the flap will be on the top side of the Wii. Opening this flap will expose several GameCube controller ports.

  Connect the wire on your Wii Dance Mat to one of the available GameCube controller ports.

  Insert your Dance Mat-compatible game into the Wii and turn your Wii on.

  Begin your game and test the dance mat. Press the directions on the pad. The game should be receiving the signals sent by your pad.
