Move closer to your Xbox 360 console while playing. If you are too far away from the console, the wireless headset will have difficulty picking up a good signal. This will cause the headset to randomly shut off during play.

Move large metal objects at least 3 feet away from your Xbox 360 console and wireless headset. Large metal objects such as refrigerators and file cabinets can interfere with the signal between your console and wireless headset. Other objects that could interfere with the signal include: 2.4 gigahertz cordless phones, certain mobile phones, microwave ovens and wireless video transmitters. If none of these steps helped fix your wireless headset, contact Microsoft Customer Support.
