How to Get a GameStop Edge Card

Popular videogame retailer GameStop is a virtual one-stop shop for gamers, offering consoles as well as related game releases on all systems. The retail chain sells both the new and budget friendly used games, as well as everything a gamer needs, such as hardware and merchandise. GameStop also offers customers the optional Edge Card program. The Edge Card allows fans exclusive sneak peeks at new releases, merchandise discounts and extra trade-in credit on their used games.

Instructions

    • 1

Log on to GameStop's website (see References) and click on the Locations tab to find a local GameStop store in your area.

    • 2

Vsit the location. Edge Cards are only given out in person and not online.
Ask the salesperson about signing up for the Edge Card. Signing up is $15 per account, and the salesperson will need some personal information. Provide the salesperson with your physical mailing address, as this is needed for your free subscription to GameStop's Game Informer magazine.

    • 3

Provide the salesperson with a valid email address. This is used to email you special offers, weekly in-store deal notices, upcoming sales and exclusive access to pre-releases. The clerk will activate your account and issue the Edge Card. Place it where you'll have access to it the next time you visit a retail location.
