Connect the Wireless Guitar Controller
Connect the wireless guitar controller on the Nintendo Wii by sliding a Nintendo Wii Remote into the slot on the front of the guitar. You may need to sync the Wii Remote first by pressing the red "Sync" button on the front of your Wii Console (under the SD card slot cover) and then pressing the red "Sync" button under the battery cover on your Wii Remote.
Connect the wireless guitar controller on the PlayStation 2 or PlayStation 3 by hooking the pick-shaped wireless receiver into the USB port on the console. You'll find the USB port on the front of both consoles.
Connect the wireless guitar controller to the Xbox 360 by simply pressing the "Xbox Guide" button on the controller; you don't need to plug in anything extra.
Use the Wireless Guitar Controller
Use the strum bar to replace the directional pad in menus. Flick it upward to scroll up in a menu or downward to scroll down in a menu. Use the "Green Fret" button to make a selection and the "Red Fret" button to cancel or go back one screen.
Strum the strum bar in rhythm while holding in the colored fret buttons corresponding to the colored notes on the screen. Select "Training" from the main menu if you need assistance.
Use the metal whammy bar during prolonged notes to rack up extra points.
Jerk or tilt your guitar upward to activate star power, which temporarily makes you invulnerable to the crowd's opinion. You can use it when the blue meter is full.
