How to Find out a PlayStation ID

Each PlayStation console ships with an ID that is unique to the gaming device. You need the ID to register your product. The PlayStation ID is located on the back of the machine on a label stuck to the console. To distinguish your PlayStation ID from the other numbers on the label, you must note the number with the prefix of "CE."

     Power off the PlayStation console.

     Flip the PlayStation around, so the back of the console is facing you. Locate the white serial label with several numbers stamped on the label.

     Identify the PlayStation number with the "CE" prefix. This number is your PlayStation ID you use to register the console.
