How to Watch Wii Movies in Full Screen

With a Wii connected to Wi-Fi, you can watch movies through Netflix. This is the only way you can watch full-screen movies with a Wii because it does not include a DVD player or other streaming services. Netflix accounts are available for a monthly fee that varies based on the package you choose. Your Wii Netflix account must be set up using the Wii and computer.

Instructions

  Power on your Wii and hit the "A" button to access the Wii Home page. Click "Wii Options" in the bottom right corner. Click "Wii Settings" on the right of the screen.

  Choose "Screen" from the list of menu options. Choose "Widescreen Settings" from this list of menu choices. Choose "Standard" so everything appears full screen on your television.

  Sign up for a Netflix account on the computer with your current email address and a password.

  Select the "Netflix" button from your Wii home screen. Click "Start."

  Type your account information on the screen. Click "Okay." Visit the link provided on the screen (Netflix.com/Wii) to activate your Wii.

  Type the code from your Wii into the box on the website and click "Submit."
