How to Hook Up Leapster Games

Setting up a new gaming console for your child can seem like an overwhelming task, but hooking up a new Leapster console will not take long at all. Leapster games are both educational and fun for your child. Once the Leapster is ready to play, you child will have access to a large library of online games in addition to cartridge games that are available for purchase.

Things You'll Need

4 AA Batteries
LeapFrog Connect CD-ROM

Instructions

  Insert 4 AA batteries into the Leapster and close the battery compartment.

  Power on the Leapster and select your country.

  Create a user profile for your child.

  Put the LeapFrog Connect CD-ROM included with the Leapster into your computer and install the program by following the on-screen prompts.

  Connect the Leapster to your computer through a USB port using the USB cable that came with the Leapster. When prompted, choose the user profile you created.

  Select your child's user profile on the My Toys page of the LeapFrog Connect Application that you installed on your computer. Click "Games," then select and download Leapster games for your child.

  Disconnect the Leapster from the computer. It is ready for your child to begin playing.
