How to Hook Up My Xbox to My Philips E10839 TV

The 347H E10839 is a model of rear-projection television developed by electronics manufacturer Philips. The E10839 is a free-standing floor unit with a 52-inch screen. With the connections located on the back of the unit, it is possible to connect multiple electronic devices to the E10839, including the Xbox home video game console system. The Xbox comes with the adapter that you will need to connect it to the television. Knowing how to connect the Xbox to the E10839 will allow you hours of big-screen video game enjoyment.

      Connect the RCA adapter to the back of the Xbox. One end of the adapter has a three-prong yellow, red and white connection, and the other end is a single black connection specifically designed for the Xbox. Plug this end into the Xbox. Make certain the Xbox is plugged into the electrical outlet.

      Connect the three-prong RCA (yellow, white and red) end of the adapter into the back of the E10839. On the back of the television, there are several RCA "Input" ports as well as an "Output" port. Plug the RCA into one of the "Input" ports. Pay attention to which "Source" the RCA is labeled as this will be important for switching your television to the correct source.

      Switch your E10839 to the correct source. Press the "Source" button until you reach the correct source, using your remote control. You may also switch to the correct source by pressing the "Menu" button on the front of the television in the panel with the volume, channel and power control. Use the "Channel" buttons to highlight the "Source" option and press the "Menu" button once more. Use the "Channel" buttons again to switch to the correct source. Press either of the "Volume" buttons to exit the menu screen.
