Instructions for the VTech V.Smile Controller

Insert three AAA batteries into the back of the controller. Turn on the game console and the controller light will turn on when it is receiving a signal from the console.

Move the switch on the back to select the option you want: one player mode for solo play or two player mode for pass and play when you only have one controller. Press the "Enter" button to make gaming choices.

Use the row of four, colored buttons to make choices or perform certain functions within a game. Move the joystick to direct various characters; the directional lights indicate which way the controller is moving.

Press the "ABC" button in the center to access the Learning Center. Press the "Question mark" for help and use the button with a door icon to exit or pause a game.

Read the individual Smartridge instructions to understand how hand motions control each feature. Wear the wrist strap and use both hands to move the controller side to side, up and down, or backward and forward.
