How to Use a Wii Controller on an Xbox

With a little ingenuity, video game controllers designed for consoles like the PlayStation, Xbox and Wii can be used not only on other video game systems, but also on things such as interactive television programs, personal computers and just about anything else that utilizes a Bluetooth signal. If your computer or laptop does not have Bluetooth capability, this process is still possible through the use of an additional USB cable.

Starting with your Nintendo Xbox, use a USB cable to connect the Xbox to an XFPS 360. Use a second USB cable to then connect the XFPS 360 adapter to a PlayStation 2 controller.

Use a third USB cable to connect the PlayStation 2 remote to a microcontroller that emulates the function of the PlayStation controller. Microcontrollers and PlayStation 2 controllers use the same standard serial peripheral interface.

Using a USB cable, connect the micrcontroller to a personal computer or laptop. While you can connect a Wii console controller through a USB cable, use your personal computer or laptop's Bluetooth functionality to wirelessly connect your computer to the Wii controller.
