How to Buy a LeapFrog LeapPad Learning System

The LeapFrog LeapPad Learning System was one of the the most popular toys to hit the market in 1999. This learning system helped children between the ages of 3 and 8 learn to read by creating fun books that came to life with the use of a pen. Children loved listening to the LeapPad stories, playing the fun interactive games and reading aloud with the book. The LeapFrog LeapPad Learning System came with different cartridges that could be inserted into the system to change the stories and games. Unfortunately in 2007 the LeapFrog LeapPad Learning System was discontinued. It was replaced in 2008 by the LeapFrog Tag Reading System.

Look for ads in the "For Sale" section of the newspaper. Some people may have had young children who do not play with their LeapPad any longer and want to get rid of it. The price of these LeapPads will be cheaper since they are used and probably have some normal wear and tear.

Check out local garage sales in your town. Look for garage sales that feature children toys and games. The LeapFrog LeapPad will be cheaper to buy here and may even come with cartridges to use as well. Sometimes when people want to get rid of stuff they will throw in things for free.
