Things You'll Need
Instructions
Set the console down where you intend to place it while hooked up to your television. If you want the console vertical, first set the bracket stand down. Then turn the console on its side so that it is vertical. The power button should be up and the eject button should be down. Slide the console backwards into the stand following the slanted angle. The console will make a click sound when it is fully inserted.
Insert the power cord into the DC power adapter in the back of the console. Plug the other end into the wall. If you prefer, plug it into a surge protector.
Insert the adapter for the sensor bar into the back of the console. It goes into the red hole on the back of the console. Peel the backing off the sensor bar and place it on the top or bottom of your television. When you remove the backing, you expose a sticky tape that will hold it in place.
Insert an AV cable into the back of the Wii system. Insert the other end into your television's AV port. Ensure the white cable goes into the white slot, the red cable into the red slot and the yellow cable into the yellow slot. Failure to have the cables into the right ports will cause the system to not work appropriately. The Wii end of the AV cable will be single plug. The television end of the AV cable will have three plugs.
Turn your television to the proper input channel and turn the system on. Check to ensure that the sound and image work properly. If you have any problems, double-check the connections before playing. The input channel depends which input slot you use on your television. Refer to your television's owner's manual to figure this out.
