How to Unlock All the Teams on Madden NFL 08

The Madden franchise is "the longest running video game franchise," according to IGN.com. Each year, Madden release a new game, including new features, updated team rosters and legendary teams of past years. In Madden '08, all 32 NFL teams come unlocked--but special teams, such as the Dummies, Glaciers, and AFC and NFC Hall of Fame teams are unlocked either during the franchise challenge mode or by using Madden cards.

  Play the "Fantasy Challenge" mode. During this mode, you pick a team to build a dynasty with, drafting and trading players in order to win Super Bowls. Only during the fantasy challenge will you face special team opponents, such as the Dummies, Glaciers, Deceivers and Tridents. To unlock these teams, you have to beat the team using their fantasy players.

  Play "Mini game" mode, which gives you a chance to earn Madden cards. Once you've earned enough cards, you can trade them to purchase historic NFL teams, such as the 1978 Pittsburgh Steelers or the 1992 Dallas Cowboys.

  Practice, practice, practice. To beat the mini-games or to beat the special teams, you must practice and play long hours to unlock every team on the Madden 08 roster. It's best to use teams with a high overall rating, such as the Ravens, Bears, Colts or the Chargers, as these teams have great rosters to build a dynasty in fantasy challenge mode.
