Things You'll Need
Instructions
Run an Ethernet cable between your Xbox and the modem or router you use to manage your home network. Connect your PC to this same router via Ethernet.
Temporarily deactivate all FireWire and antivirus software on your computer.
Turn on your Xbox and navigate to your firmware's Connection Settings section. Set "Static Connection" to "Off." Choose "Save" and reboot your Xbox. Navigate back to the Connection Settings section and note down your machine's IP address.
Open your FTP software and click the "Connect" button. Input your Xbox's IP address in the "Server or URL" section. Leave "Port" set to "21" and type "xbox" (all lowercase) in the "User Name" and "Password" sections.
Click "Connect" and wait for the software to make a connection. Drag and drop files from the pane displaying your PC's file structure (on most programs, this is the left pane) into the pane displaying the Xbox's software contents to send data to the console.
