How to Make an RF Modulator for Xbox

One of the downsides to owning an Xbox is that, along with the other sixth-generation consoles, the Xbox is packaged with RCA cables. If you have an older television that does not have RCA ports, your Xbox cannot connect to your television. However, as long as you have the proper converters, you can easily convert your Xbox&'s RCA signal into an RF signal, which can connect to your television&'s coaxial cable port.

Instructions

  Connect the Xbox end of your Xbox RCA cables to the port on the back of your Xbox.

  Connect the RCA cables to the RCA ports in the RCA-to-coaxial converter.

  Connect the coaxial cord running from the RCA-to-coaxial converter to the coaxial port on the back of your television. Make sure the channel switch on your converter is in the "Channel 4" position.

  Turn your television and Xbox on, and set your television to channel 4. You should now see the visual signal from your Xbox on your television.
