How to Install Emulators on an Xbox

Installing ROM files on your modded Xbox is a great way to get thousands of games onto your console. Many users believe that installing roms on their system is a hard task. The truth is that modding your Xbox was much harder than putting ROM files onto the system. These roms will allow you to play NES, Game Boy Advanced, Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, Game Gear, Sega Saturn, and Sega Genesis games all from one console.

Instructions

      Plug one end of your Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on your Xbox console. Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into an available Ethernet port on your wireless router.

      Turn your Xbox on at the power button on the front of the console. Turn on your computer.

      Go to your FTP software icon and double click it to launch the program. FTP into your Xbox and click on the ̶0;C:̶1; drive. Scroll down until you have come to a folder that reads ̶0;Emulators̶1;. Locate your emulator on your computer and drag it into this folder.

      Click the ̶0;Back̶1; button on the FTP software and locate the ̶0;menu.ini̶1; file. This is located in the ̶0;C:̶1; folder.

      Drag the .ini file from your Xbox to your computer̵7;s desktop. Right click on the file and select ̶0;Open With̶1;. Choose the ̶0;Notepad̶1; and click ̶0;Ok̶1;.

      Press ̶0;Ctrl̶1; and ̶0;F̶1; at the same time in the Notepad window. A small ̶0;Find̶1; window will open. Type ̶0;Apps̶1; into the small window and press ̶0;OK̶1;.

      Find the line that looks like \"[Emulator]\",\"e:\\[Emulator Directory]\\default.xbe\"
      If you are going to install MAME then you would type \"MAME-X\",\"e:\\MAME\\default.xbe\"

      Save the file to your computer̵7;s Desktop and then go back to your FTP software. Drag the saved version of the .ini file back into the ̶0;C:̶1; drive. A prompt will appear asking you if you want to replace the file. Click ̶0;Yes̶1;.

      Click on the ̶0;Back̶1; button and then click on the ̶0;E:̶1; drive in your FTP software window. Scroll down until you have found the ̶0;Roms̶1; folder. Double click this folder.

      Locate the ROM files you downloaded onto your computer. Drag the ROM files into the ̶0;Roms̶1; folder and wait for them to transfer.

      Go to your Xbox console and scroll through the main menu until you come to ̶0;Emulators̶1;. Press the ̶0;X̶1; button and choose the emulator you want to play. Choose the ROM file you want to play.
