Turn off your Xbox, wireless router and cable modem.
Insert one end of the ethernet cable into the port found on the Xbox wireless adaptor and the other end into the port on the back of the Xbox.
Plug in the power cord into the port on the wireless adapter. Turn on your Xbox, wireless router and cable modem.
Insert the setup disc that was included with your wireless adapter into your Xbox. A "Select Network" screen should appear.
Select the network name you'd like to connect to.
Select the Wireless Settings screen.
Enter the Security Type and Security Key if your wireless network uses security.
Select a password to install the wireless adapter updates. Select "Save" when your settings are set.
Check your Wireless Status to make sure you're connected. If you're not connected, choose "Settings" and double-check your wireless settings. Select the "Back" option to exit the network area.
Test your connection by trying to access Xbox Live via a supported Xbox video game. You may have to setup an Xbox Live account.
