How to Fix Rings of Death on an Xbox

One of the primary problems plaguing the Xbox 360 is the "red ring of death." When there are three flashing red lights on the front of your Xbox, this indicates a certain, and often serious, kind of failure. You can try to correct the issue a few ways.

      Turn the console off and on. On the back of the large box on your power cord is a small light. If it's turned green you'll need to send your Xbox in for repair.

      Plug the console into a different outlet.

      If that doesn't work, contact Xbox support to request a replacement power supply.
