How to Set PS3 IP Address to Static

The PlayStation 3 video game console allows players to download demos, game add-ons and even entire games over the Internet. Many games also include online multi-player capability. A network connection needs to be set up in order to use these features. Some networks require a static IP address to allow the PS3 to connect to the network. This requires setting up a custom network connection for the PS3.
