How to Download Rock Band 2 Songs

Since the first Rock Band's release in 2007, the Rock Band series has become a popular party and family game. While the game features dozens of songs, most users will want to add additional songs after playing Rock Band 2's tour a couple of times. Harmonix and MTV Games offer weekly Downloadable Content (DLC) that is available on all three major consoles---Playstation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360. Individual tracks cost $1.99, and song packs will set you back $5.49.

Points card for your console's network or credit card

  Enable your broadband Internet connection. Press the console's power button.

  Log into your console's online network (Xbox Live, Playstation Network, Wii Online). Access the Marketplace, Shop, or Store. Click on "Add Points." For PSN, enter the "Account Management," then select "Transaction Management." Select "Add Funds."

  Enter your pre-paid points card code or PSN ticket code to fund your account or wallet. If you do not have a points card or PSN ticket, you can use a credit card to add points or money to your account.

  Insert your Rock Band 2 disk. Navigate to the "Music Store" selection. Press the "Select" key that corresponds with your console.

  Browse through the music selection. Select the tracks you wish to purchase.

  Download your tracks once you've confirmed your purchases.
