Things You'll Need
Instructions
Insert the old Game Cube game into the system. They are loaded with the game logo facing the right. You can load the game either when the system is on or off. If it is turned off, you may turn the system on once the game is inserted.
Turn on your Wii remote. For playing classic Game Cube games, you have a couple of controller options. First of all, you can turn the Wii remote horizontally to use it like a old controller, or use a corded controller. You can use your old Game Cube controllers on this system. Corded controllers for the Nintendo Wii are also available.
Point your Wii remote at the game on screen. Once your game has loaded into the Nintendo Wii, an icon for the game will appear in the upper left corner. Click on it to start your game. This will allow you to play your game just like you would on the Game Cube.
Learn the controls for each game. If you are using a traditional Game Cube corded controller, the buttons you use will be the same. If you are using a Wii corded controller or a Wii remote, the buttons and functions may be a little different for each game. Figure out the basic controls to play your game.
Purchase more Game Cube games at used video game stores. This will enable you to have a larger video game collection for your Nintendo Wii, without having to pay a hefty price. They no longer make games for the Game Cube, but you can find the games online through auctions and also at video game stores which sell used games.
