  Set your team up and get them trained. To win you must have the right team. You can take any team, but you may need to make some changes. Once you have selected the team of choice, cut all the bad players who have no bonus (these will not affect your cap the next season) and then hire free agency players that can fill the holes.

  Make the right trades for the right players. With your bad players cut and free agency signings out of the way—it is time to trade players. I recommend using draft picks to do this because you can trade one or two picks and get superstar players, not draft players who may become stars. Trade for a few star players and really beef up your team.

  Set up your playbooks and practice with them. Now you need to set up your playbooks—the Patriots defense is recommended and the Colts offense is recommended; these are the two best playbooks that Madden 07 has to offer. Set them up and practice using them with your team in practice mode.

  Practice makes perfect. Finally, practice and keep practicing some more. In no time at all you will get accustomed to how your team works and you will be severely beating the computer each game.
