How to Make a Bed on Minecraft on an iPhone

Normally, a bed is for sleeping. While the same is true of a bed in "Minecraft: Pocket Edition" for the iPhone, that's not the only benefit a bed bestows on your character. The most obvious use for a bed in "Minecraft" is that sleeping in one changes night to day instantly, useful for when you want to avoid the creatures that night brings. However, sleeping in a bed also sets your spawn point there, meaning that whenever you die, you revive in close proximity to the bed. Making a bed requires minerals from trees and sheep along with a crafting table.

Instructions

  Destroy trees to receive blocks of wood, which you can use to create wood planks in either your inventory or a crafting table. One piece of wood creates four wood planks, and you need three wood planks to successfully craft the bed.

  Defeat sheep to receive one block of wool for each sheep you successfully defeat. It takes three blocks of wool to successfully craft the bed.

  Open the crafting table and align the ingredients by filling the second row with wool and the third row with wooden planks. The bed will appear to the right of the crafting grid.

  Drag and drop the bed from the crafting grid to your inventory to finish crafting it.
