How to Set Up Wings of Prey

Like all good PC flight simulators, "Wings of Prey" enables full customization of even minor details to give you the most realistic flying experience possible. Although the customization process is meant to be intuitive, many gamers have had difficulty figuring out how to set up flight controls. Creating your preferred flying profile will require editing the Key Mapping and the Devices options.

Instructions

  Choose "Profile" from the main menu, click "Options" and select "Controls."

  Select "Key Mapping" from the Controls screen to bring up a list of control functions and three corresponding columns. The first column displays the game's default key commands; the second and third columns are blank and available for customization.

  Double-click on the blank line in the column of your choice for a given key function. Press the joystick button you would like to assign that function.

  Continue in the same fashion through the remaining key functions to set up your joystick to suit your preferences.

  Click the "Back" button when finished. Click "OK" to dismiss a warning alerting you if some options have not been assigned.

  Select "Devices" from the Controls menu to bring up flight controls and directional axis. Double-click on the axis you would like to assign. Move your joystick in the preferred direction or spin a corresponding dial or knob. Click "Apply."

  Continue in the same fashion until you have assigned joystick movements for all flight controls. Click the "Back" button when finished. Click "OK" to dismiss a warning alerting you if some options have not been assigned.

  Return to the main menu, choose "Single Player" and then select "Training" to initiate a training flight. Test all of the newly customized controls. Go back to the Options settings to make necessary corrections until you are satisfied with the key mapping and controls.
