How to Make an Ongoing Circuit on Minecraft

Redstone circuitry in "Minecraft" can vary from very simple circuits built to open doors or power pistons, to enormously complex calculators, music boxes and other machinery. One of the simplest circuits you can build is an ongoing circuit that, once switched on, will remain active unless you destroy part of it and break the circuit. This circuit also can be modified to make a signal circulate within it, making anything connected to it switch on and off rapidly.

Things You'll Need

  • 4 redstone dust
  • 2 redstone repeaters
  • Redstone torch

Instructions

    • 1

Place two redstone repeaters side by side on two adjacent blocks but facing opposite directions. For example, if you place the first redstone repeater facing north, turn around 180 degrees and place the second redstone repeater facing south, either on the right or on the left of the first one.

    • 2

Place four redstone dust, connecting the two repeaters in a closed loop.

    • 3

Place a redstone torch next to the redstone dust to activate the circuit and then remove it. The circuit is now permanently active.
