The Ether serves as the antithesis of the Nether realm in the Minecraft world. Instead of lava-filled caverns crawling with hostile monsters, the Ether mod presents you with peaceful floating landscapes populated by friendly animals -- including tameable flying pigs. However, the mod also features dungeons and hostile mobs, such as Archangels, that require the use of new weapons armor, tools, potions and food. The Ether mod isn't an official Minecraft project, but it is available for download from a reputable source.

Go to the Ether mod page on Planet Minecraft (see link in References), and click the "Download Client" button.

Click the "Download" button next to the Ether zip file icon.

Click "Save" on any message windows that appear, then select the folder in which you want to save the file. Otherwise, the computer will start the download automatically and save the file to your default download folder.
