How to Raise the Notilus in Epic Mickey

̶0;Disney's Epic Mickey̶1; for the Nintendo Wii puts you in Mickey Mouse's shoes as he journeys through an alternate version of the iconic character's history, traversing a surreal wonderland of forgotten Disney characters known as the Wasteland. In the Wasteland, you wield the Wii remote to both create and destroy the environment with paint and thinner, respectively. About midway through the game, just after completing the Mean Street area, ̶0;Epic Mickey̶1; tasks you with using these powers to raise a sunken submarine called the Notilus.

Instructions

  Defeat the two Splatters in the swamp-like area after Gus talks to you and prompts with a new quest, ̶0;Raise the Notilus.̶1; In the right side of the area, you'll see a pillar. Aim at the pillar and press and hold ̶0;Z̶1; on the Wii Nunchuck to dissolve its base with a stream of thinner. This creates a ramp -- run up the ramp.

  Jump across the platforms to reach the top of the pillar, where you'll see a gear on the end of the crane. Point the Wii Remote at the gear and hold the ̶0;B̶1; trigger to paint the gear.

  Jump down and go to the other side of the area to find a thin portion of the wall. Make note of the Gremlin behind bars here -- you'll need to talk to him later. Paint the wall to cause the pillar to fall and climb it up toward the roof to find another gear. Paint that gear to cause more platforms to appear.

  Follow the platforms toward the right and then upward to another thin section -- spray it with thinner to reveal another gear. Paint the floor below you; then travel across the floor and paint the gear. This raises more pillars. Head left toward the crumbling, temple-like ruins.

  Jump up the columns, avoiding the flames along the way. Once you reach the top, you'll find a thin section. Spray it with thinner and drop through the hole, where the last gear resides. Paint in the gear. Return to the Gremlin and talk to him -- now that the gears have been painted in, he'll raise the Notilus for you.
