How to Clone Items in Animal Crossing: City Folk

̶0;Animal Crossing: City Folk̶1; for the Nintendo Wii contains a glitch that lets you clone items. With the help of a friend who plays ̶0;Animal Crossing: City Folk,̶1; you can create a duplicate copy of any item in the game. You can visit your friend̵7;s town via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Club and, with the assistance of your friend, leave a copy of the item in their town without your character losing the item.

Instructions

- 1
  Talk to Copper at your town̵7;s town gate and select ̶0;Friend Code!̶1; to get a friend code. Write down your friend code and exchange friend codes with a friend. Select ̶0;Friend Roster̶1; in the game̵7;s menu to register your friend̵7;s friend code and add your friend to your friend list.

  Have a friend talk to Copper at her town̵7;s town gate and select ̶0;Invite Friends.̶1;

  Place the item you want to clone in your pockets, then talk to Copper at your town̵7;s town gate and select ̶0;I Wanna Go Out!̶1; Select ̶0;Nintendo WFC̶1; in the menu, then select your friend̵7;s town name in the list.

  Drop the item you want to clone on the ground in your friend̵7;s town and immediately pick it back up.

  Ask your friend to save the game session.

  Drop the item you want to clone again.

  Go to the gate in your friend̵7;s town, talk to Copper and ask to go back to your home town.

  Reset your Wii when Copper says ̶0;Well then.̶1;

  Restart your ̶0;Animal Crossing: City Folk̶1; game and head back to your friend̵7;s town. The cloned item appears in both your pockets and on the ground in your friend̵7;s town; you can pick the duplicate item up and take it back with you or leave it for your friend.
