How to Get the Shadow Skin in Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Each of the characters in the video game "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" has several alternative costume colors, including dark, shadowy variants. Characters in shadow-like costumes look menacing and scary on the battlefield. Characters with dark costume colors include Link, Bowser, Donkey Kong and Mario. While choosing one of the murky costume color sets will not have any effect on abilities or stats, it gives the iconic Nintendo characters a distinctive appearance in this Wii-exclusive game.

     Choose your favorite character from the character selection screen.

     Push the trigger-like "B" button on the underside of the Wii Remote to cycle through the costume colors. You may have to flip through several color variations before you land on the shadow version.

     Press the "Start" button to confirm the shadow coloring and begin the match.
