How to Enhance Wii Video Game Performance

The Nintendo Wii console has many add-ons and accessories that greatly improve the console's overall performance. The Wii remote control units can be more precise, their batteries can be recharged and a variety of additions have been made to plug into the bottom of the controller for extra game play options. Whether you are enjoying an old classic like "Donkey Kong Country" or a new title such as "Monster Hunter Tri," there are always methods to make your Wii playtime ever better.

  Add Wii Motion Plus to your controller. This add-on makes the Wii's controls much more precise so the game can fluidly follow your natural movements. If you have an older remote, plug the Motion Plus attachment to the Wii Remote's underside. Newer Wii Remotes have Motion Plus already built into the device.

  Connect the Wii to an internet connection suited to the console. Wireless, cellular and satellite Internet connections might be the cause of connection problems. Cable, fiber optic and DSL connections are recommended for using the Wii's online features.

  Insert fresh batteries into the Wii Remote if the controls are unresponsive.

  Move objects from the sensor bar's path so that the Wii can respond to the signals the Wii remote sends to the console.
