Where Can You Get Stages on Super Smash Brothers Brawl?

"Super Smash Bros. Brawl" throws you right back into the "Super Smash Bros." action, but this time you're on the Wii. As with the previous installments of "Super Smash Bros.," there are seemingly countless achievements and unlockable items and stages. Unlock all of the available stages by completing events, unlocking characters and playing in the "Vs" and "Brawl" modes.
  1. "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" Stages

    • "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" comes packed with 41 stages, but you're only able to play 29 of those stages at first. The remaining 12 become playable after you complete certain events and unlock certain characters throughout the game. It does not matter whether you play the game on easy, normal or hard; there are no difficulty requirements to unlock any of the stages.

    Character-Specific Stages

    • Character-specific stages are stages that have appeared in a specific character's game. Unlocking character-specific stages requires that you play various game modes with the character who's tied to the stage. You must first unlock certain characters. Seven out of the 12 stages in "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" are character-specific: Luigi's mansion, the Great Sea, Big Blue, Green Hill Zone, Flat Zone 2, Green Greens and the 75m stage.

Play with Luigi in the "Brawl" game mode three times, and you'll unlock Luigi's mansion. The Great Sea stage becomes unlocked once you unlock Young Link, while Big Blue requires you to play as Captain Falcon in the "Brawl" game mode 10 times. The Green Hill Zone and Flat Zone 2 stages become available after unlocking Sonic and Mr. Game and Watch, respectively. The classic 75m stage from the original Donkey Kong unlocks after you use Donkey Kong 20 times in "Brawl" mode. Finally, playing as Kirby 20 times in "Vs" mode unlocks the Green Hill Zone stage.

    Events

    • Events are special fights and stages that you would not encounter in any other game mode. For example, one event pits you against three Mario characters as Bowser. You must beat the other Marios in a race to complete the challenge. Three stages are unlocked via events. Completing event number 19 unlocks the Mario Bros. stage, event number 25 unlocks the Spear Pillar stage, while completing event number 28 unlocks the Hanebrow stage. Event 19 takes place on the Mario Bros stage. You must defeat Mario and Luigi to complete the event and unlock the stage. Event 25 requires you to knock out Ness and Sheik as the Pokemon Lucario. To complete event 28, you must defeat Olimar as Peach.

    Pokemon Stadium &Jungle Japes

    • The final two stages become playable after you play "Vs" mode a certain number of times. You can begin playing on Jungle Japes by playing "Vs" mode 10 times on any level. Pokemon Stadium becomes playable after you fight on Pokemon Stadium 2 10 times. Your character selection on either stage does not matter.
