Cheat codes can be entered in MySims to unlock new items for a character's house. To enter these cheat codes, players can be located anywhere in their fictional towns. Players can then press pause on the controller and enter the following button sequence: 2, 1, down, up, down, up, left, left, right, and right. Once these steps are completed, a prompt will appear that lets players type in cheat codes. To unlock a bunk bed for their house, players must enter "F3nerv0." A couch shaped like an hourglass is unlocked by entering "Ghtymba," while an alternate couch is unlocked by entering "T7srhca." Players can enter "Ahvmrva" to unlock a bed shaped like a racecar. A bed that looks like a rickshaw is unlocked by entering "ltha7da." Once unlocked, these items appear in the MySims house.
New Residents
In MySims Party, which came out for the Wii in March 2009, players can gain new characters to reside in their house. To get new inhabitants, players must reach 60 points in a mini-game hosted by the characters. Players who reach 80 points in the mini-game unlock new playable characters that can reside in the MySims house.
Tools
Players can unlock special tools that can be used in housing areas or elsewhere in town in the original MySims game for Wii. To unlock them, players must assist their towns in reaching new star levels, which is how towns are judged in MySims. To unlock the crowbar, players must get their towns to one star, while helping the town reach two stars unlocks a saw. A pick axe is unlocked by assisting the fictional town to a three-star ranking, and getting to four stars unlocks a blow torch. These tools can all be used to alter things around the house and in other locations.
