Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess Cheats

Spanning over a dozen titles, "The Legend of Zelda" is one of the longest lasting series in Nintendo's history. The games follow the adventures of Link as he battles to save his homeland from the forces of evil. In "Twilight Princess," Link is whisked away to an alternate universe where he must confront overwhelming odds. This was the first "Zelda" game released for the Wii, which significantly altered game play. Rather than just mashing buttons, players must now also swing the controllers to manipulate Link's actions. This requires reflexes that not all players have. To ease them through the challenges of the twilight kingdom, Nintendo included several cheats and beneficial glitches.
  1. Defeat Ganondorf the Easy Way

    • The final boss Ganondorf is by far the most challenging fight you'll encounter in "Twilight Princess." If you're having trouble defeating him, you can employ the following cheat. Instead of equipping a sword, pull out your fishing rod. After waving it around, Ganondorf will be inexplicably stunned. Use this opportunity to whack him until he wakes from his daze. Repeat and defeat.

    Dungeon Saves

    • To increase the game's challenge, Nintendo prohibited saves while inside dungeons. This means you can't save immediately before boss fights. Using a simple glitch, however, you can work around this. While in a dungeon, use Oocoo, a bird-like character you'll find there, to teleport outside. Save the game. Even after you restart, you can now use Oocoo to teleport back to exactly where you were.

    Easy Money

    • Ever look up and notice a flock of birds flying by? Nintendo didn't include them in "Twilight Princess" just for atmospheric effect. Using your boomerang, kill them off one by one. Once you've cleared the sky, 50 rupees will drop to ground.

    Guidance

    • It is sometimes unclear what you're suppose do to advance the story in "Twilight Princess." If you're feeling stuck, go to the fortune teller by Agatha Castle and ask for your fortune. Although she seems to be babbling nonsense, this is actually Nintendo's way of helping you along--in a not-so-helpful manner. Try reading her fortune backward. You'll then know where to go next. Sometimes, she even tells you how to find an extra heart piece.
