Tricks for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

While it certainly was a long time in coming, beloved video game icons Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog have finally teamed up in "Mario &Sonic at the Olympic Games" for the Wii gaming console. As the title implies, the game features many of your favorite characters from previous installments of Mario and Sonic. Players compete head-to-head in a variety of real Olympic events including races, hurdles, hammer toss and javelin throw.

Unlockable Events
- Many events and circuits will need to be unlocked through regular game play before you will be allowed to compete in them. Score a first place position on the Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn Circuits to unlock the Moonlight Circuit.
  
  Come in first place in the Moonlight Circuit to unlock the Stardust Circuit featuring the archery event. Win the Stardust, Planet, Comet and Satellite Circuits to unlock the Sunlight Circuit featuring the 400-meter hurdles event. Additional circuits like the Meteorite Circuit, Cosmos Circuit, Galaxy Circuit, and more can also be unlocked as you progress in this manner. Finally, unlock the high jumping event by competing in an event with every character in the game at least once.
Unlockable Music
- Classic tracks from previous Mario and Sonic games can also be unlocked in "Mario &Sonic at the Olympic Games." For example, completing every round of one mini-game will unlock Sonic's "Green Hill Zone" and "Overworld" tracks, while completing all rounds of two mini-games will unlock Mario's "Starlight" and popular "Underground" music tracks.
Secret Shop
- Complete Festival Mode to unlock the "Secret Shop" in the shopping area between the Music and Sports Shops. There you will find two lottery tickets, a ticket for one article of clothing and a ticket for a decal. Cards can also be purchased here to unlock additional costumes for your Mii avatar.
New Mii Costumes
- Occasionally you will receive mail informing you of a character's appearance at an event. Whenever you receive a message, enter that event and click the "Minus" button when you see that character to unlock an extra costume for your Mii avatar. Additional costumes, such as the Omega costume, can be unlocked by defeating Omega in the speed skating event during Individual Festival Mode or the short track relay event in Team Festival Mode. Rouge's costume can be unlocked by defeating Rogue in the figure skating event in either Individual or Team Festival Mode.
