Controls
The controls for Ghost Squad are quite simple. Primarily, the Wii Remote's B button is the fire button and the A button is the action button (but you can reverse these buttons in the game settings menu). If you are using the Wii Zapper, B is the fire button and Z is the action button. Hit the fire button as you aim the remote at the screen and aim the controller off-screen to reload your weapon. For other actions in the game, there are different ways to use the action button. Holding it down is best for rescuing hostages, while tapping it rapidly works best for defusing mines. The plus key will get you back in the game if your character is killed.
Mission Choices
The main task in each of the three levels, or missions, is to kill all of the terrorists. Other tasks depend on the path you chose in the mission. The multiple paths have tasks like finding hostages, defusing bombs, providing cover for other members of your team and different types assaults or raids. As you complete each mission, the game unlocks new levels of complexity for the next time you play it; there are 16 complexity levels for each mission. Each mission also has a boss at the end. The first mission is in a village with a boss called Alex Havoc on a helicopter. Mission Two is onboard Air Force One with "Laccard Zimone" inside the cargo bay at the end. Mission Three is in a jungle with a rocket-launching boss called Dingo.
Advancing
As you continually complete the missions, your character will advance in rank. Your first promotion comes at Level Four; more are at selected levels as you advance from Private all the way to Marshal at Level 99. Advancing in level also unlocks new weapons in the game, giving you new types of handguns, rifles and machine guns. The game becomes much easier once you reach Level 38 and the rank of Brigadier General and you get the TR14 Machine Gun. Advancing in level also unlocks a number of costumes, including Police, Tough Guy, Cowboy, Virtua Cop and Future Warrior. If you play and complete the Missions in Party Mode, the game will unlock Ninja Mode, where you throw ninja stars at enemies instead of shooting them. Complete that mode and you'll unlock Paradise Mode, where you shoot water guns at bikini models.
