How to Unlock the Secret Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy

To its credit, Nintendo's Super Mario Galaxy isn't a very difficult game. While this might disappoint a handful of die-hard gamers, it makes the game much more playable for the entire family, which was one of Nintendo's main inspirations for developing the Wii. However, there are a few tasks in Super Mario Galaxy that pose an incredible challenge. One of these is unlocking the secret Grand Finale Galaxy.

  Download a Super Mario Galaxy game guide from a good gaming website like Gamespot. This will help you recover the most hard-to-find Power Stars in the game.

  Locate and recover the first 119 Power Stars in the game. To do this, you'll need to beat each of the Comet Missions and find the Hidden Stars, which is no mean feat.

  Conquer Bowser to gather the 120th Star, then return to the Main Observatory and speak to Rosalina. Ask to fight Bowser again, then allow the credits to roll. This should unlock Luigi.
- 4
  Recapture each of the 120 Power Stars again, only this time play as Luigi. Beating Bowser using Luigi instead of his brother unlocks the Grand Finale Galaxy.
- 5
  Collect all of the 100 purple coins in the Grand Finale Galaxy to receive your well earned 121st Power Star.
