How to Unlock and Play With Luigi in Super Mario Galaxy

Nintendo's Super Mario Galaxy was one of the most highly anticipated games the game maker ever released. In many ways, the game was an instant classic and garnered top ratings from nearly all of the Internet's video-game critics. There aren't too many hidden "unlockables" in the game, but Luigi is one of them. Read on to find out how you can play as Mario's beloved brother.

Instructions

- 1
  Familiarize yourself with the layout of the Main Observatory. It's fairly intuitive, but make sure you've checked out each of the rooms and the various Lumas hanging about.

  Collect all 120 Power Stars. To do this, you'll need to complete each of the galaxies, including their Comet Missions and Secret Stars. You'll also need to beat Bowser.

  Head back to the Main Observatory and consult Rosalina. Request to fight Bowser again, and head back into the battle.
- 4
  Let the credits finish rolling, and the game will present you with a message indicating that you can now play as Luigi.
- 5
  Recapture each of the Power Stars as Luigi, and the game rewards you by opening the Grand Finale Galaxy. If you beat this galaxy, you'll get the coveted Star 121.
