How to Ace in Wii Tennis

In Tennis, an ace is a "perfect" shot that lands within the designated score area on the opposite side of the net and is untouched by the opponent. In "Wii Tennis" (part of the "Wii Sports" compilation), an ace can be difficult to achieve, and requires a fair bit of skill. However, with practice, you can score aces consistently against both human and AI enemies.

Instructions

    • 1

Initiate the serve when it is your turn by swinging the Wii-mote in a backwards direction. You do not need to swing backwards very dramatically, as the Wii registers small movements just as well as large ones.

    • 2

Wait for the ball to reach its highest point and then swing the Wii-Mote forward. This may take a little practice, but you can recognize when the ball reaches its highest point after a few tries.

    • 3

Wait for the ball to reach the other side of the court within the boundary. If the ball falls out of bounds or the shot is returned by your opponent, you will not receive the "ace" designation.
