How to Snowboard in Wii Fit

You can use Wii Fit and its accompanying balance board to complete a variety of exercises to shed unwanted pounds while also playing games. This 2007 Nintendo Wii title offers yoga, running, step exercises and balance games among its repertoire of activities. You unlock the snowboarding slalom balance game after earning two hours of Wii Fit credits, which you receive by completing other exercises.

      Click your Mii from the Wii Fit Plaza and select "Training."

      Select "Balance Games" from the Wii Fit menu. Click "Snowboarding Slalom," which is located in the middle of the bottom row. It appears in gray with a question mark over it until you unlock it.

      Turn the balance board sideways and step on it. You can face your left or right foot toward the television, depending on personal preference.

      Lean forward or backward while going down the hill to turn your snowboard left or right. You must continually weave back and forth down the hill to go inside the gates -- otherwise you incur a penalty for each one you miss.

      Lean forward the television to go slightly faster, but stay in control or you will miss the gates. If you lean backward while turning, it's easier to control the degree of your turn.
