How to Get the Wii Speak Channel

You can attach a microphone to the Nintendo Wii to participate in live audio chat sessions with other Wii users, leave voice messages for Wii Speak friends, and use voice chat features in online multiplayer games. The Wii Speak channel on the Wii is the interface for voice chatting with friends or leaving voice messages.

      Connect your Wii Speak microphone to your Wii game system through the USB port. Turn on your Wii game system and your TV. Get your 16-digit Wii Speak code (included with a new Wii Speak microphone).

      Select the "Wii Shop" channel from the Wii main menu. Choose "Settings and Features," then choose "Wii Download Ticket."

      Enter the 16-digit code, then choose "Now" to begin downloading the Wii Speak channel for your Wii game system.
