How to Jog With Two People On the Wii Fit

Nintendo's "Wii Fit" offers an easy way to work out while providing the fun of playing a video game. Most of the activities in the game, however, are limited to a single player due to reliance on a single balance board. The two-person run exercise in the "Plus" edition of the game works around this limitation by using only the Wii Remote, allowing two people to jog simultaneously.

Instructions

Turn on your Wii and two Wii Remotes by pressing the "A" button on each. If you haven't used a second Wii Remote before, you will need to sync it first by pressing the "Sync" button inside the front panel on the console and the matching button inside the battery case on the Wii Remote.

Start "Wii Fit" by selecting its channel from the main menu and clicking "Start." Once the game loads, turn on your balance board when the game asks and log in to your profile by picking your Mii, just as when you play alone. Though you do not use the balance board while jogging, it must be turned on to play.

Go into "Training" and select the "Aerobics" button. Find and choose the "2-Player Run" game. Ensure that both Wii Remotes remain powered on, and click to start the game. If the second player's remote has shut off, the game will ask you to turn it back on after starting the game. Don't worry if you can't turn it on in advance; it will work when the machine asks you to start it.

Place one Wii Remote in your pocket or hold it in your hand with the wrist strap attached. Give the second to your partner and have him do the same. The game will register your movements by the motion of the accelerometer, similar to a pedometer. To work properly, the Wii Remote must remain in a vertical position.

Jog in place to race with your friend on screen. Don't go too fast or your Mii may trip and fall.
