How to Play Wii Pool

"Wii Pool," found under the "Billiards" link in "Wii Play," plays with rules similar to the classic nine-ball pool game. Each player needs to sink balls in numerical order with the fewest shots possible. "Wii Pool" is a motion-based game. Players must point and move the Wii remote (or Wiimote) back and forth to shoot a cue ball.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "A" button (the round front button) on the Wiimote to view the table overhead.

    • 2

Point the cursor to each ball to see its number.

    • 3

Aim the cursor at a spot distant from the cue ball. This will activate the line showing the prospective ball's route. Repeat this step until you achieve the desired route. Move the line so it goes straight through the ball you want to hit and the desired pocket.

    • 4

Point the Wiimote to aim the pool stick at the ball with lowest number. Hold down the "B" button (located on remote's back) and pull back the Wiimote to determine the shot force.

    • 5

Aim at the ball's center for maximum force. Aim the cursor above/below the ball center for back/top spin.

    • 6

Release the "B" button to shoot.
